In this role, you will assist survey field crews with measurements, data collection, and equipment operation that support engineering, design, and construction projects across a variety of environments. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy field-based work, take pride in accuracy and collaboration, and are interested in building long-term technical skills in surveying.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel to various project sites to support field data collection effort, learning and applying various survey methods, field procedures, documentation standards, and equipment operations</li>\n <li>Prepare, organize, and maintain field equipment—including GPS receivers, total stations, and electronic data collectors</li>\n <li>Support the Crew Chief in field calculations and sketches, preparation of field survey assignment data, as well as design and record plan content</li>\n <li>Aid in record research and boundary, topographic, and construction surveys as part of a collaborative field team</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma required; A.A.S. and/or B.S. degree preferred</li>\n <li>No prior experience required; however prior construction experience and/or usage of trimble equipment preferred</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required with the ability to travel short-term</li>\n <li>Strong math skills (trigonometry and geometry) and a willingness to learn about the surveying industry</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and carry equipment over uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditions</li>\n <li>Strong teamwork, time-management, and communication skills with the ability to represent the firm professionally with clients and the broader public</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred</li>\n <li>NSPS‑CST Level I certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why You'll Love It Here:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on impactful transportation and infrastructure projects—from highways to transit corridors</li>\n <li>Gain hands‑on experience in surveying while building a foundation for long‑term career growth</li>\n <li>Join a company recognized for delivering safe, sustainable, and community‑focused solutions</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Curious how CHA’s Survey Geospatial team supports safer, more efficient movement across communities?
