    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As a <strong>Senior Test Engineer</strong>, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud, and data systems development within an AI-enabled software development environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates with 5-7 years experience with experience with quality assurance and test automation practices in an Agile/DevSecOps work environment.</p>\n<h2>Contributions</h2>\n<p><strong> Responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers </li>\n <li>Meet with product design team to determine testing parameters</li>\n <li>Write test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products</li>\n <li>Manage test data architecture definition and requests</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot errors and streamline the test procedures</li>\n <li>Test and examine code written by others and analyze results, including three or more of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Data validation testing</li>\n   <li>Functional testing</li>\n   <li>Performance and load testing</li>\n   <li>Usability testing</li>\n   <li>Accessibility (508) testing</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Establish automated testing tools and infrastructure for test automation</li>\n <li>Provide validation testing of different system and data sets for cloud migrations</li>\n <li>Develop automated testing scripts considering parallelization and idempotency</li>\n <li>Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes </li>\n <li>Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats</li>\n <li>Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended</li>\n <li>Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations </li>\n <li>Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize testing software systems</li>\n <li>Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools</li>\n <li>Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided</li>\n <li>Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members</li>\n <li>Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years total experience</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages</li>\n <li>5+ years of application DevSecOps experience with development experience in an Agile environment</li>\n <li>Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience implementing test automation, using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, RestAssured, Postman</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD pipelines</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience with performance and load testing</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certifications:\n  <ul>\n   <li>CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing)</li>\n   <li>International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification</li>\n   <li>Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST)</li>\n   <li>DHS Trusted Tester Certification (TTv5)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools and machine learning–based code generation platforms to accelerate secure software delivery pipelines across cloud-native environments</li>\n <li>Proven ability to integrate AI-powered code generation and testing tools into software delivery workflows, mentoring teams on improving productivity and code quality using emerging AI technologies</li>\n <li>Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>About <strong>steampunk</strong></h2>\n<p>Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
