Are you comfortable with collecting, sorting, cleaning, processing and distributing linens and garments used throughout a healthcare facility? If so, we'd love for you to apply for our EVS Laundry Tech position! What You'll Need: High school diploma or GED preferred Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Other cleaning experience may be accepted Knowledge of chemicals and equipment used for cleaning in a healthcare setting Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to create a safe environment in a healthcare setting What You’ll Do: Collect, transport, and sort soiled linens in accordance with infection control and safety guidelines. Properly identify and handle contaminated and isolation linens following established procedures. Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, according to department standards. Fold, package, and distribute clean linens to designated departments in a timely and efficient manner. Adhere to all infection prevention, OSHA, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Maintain strict separation of clean and soiled linens to prevent cross contamination. Ensure laundry area and equipment are clean, organized, and safe at all times. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
