Description

Summary: Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving, the Senior Associate Director of The Lawrenceville Fund is responsible for the overall planning, execution and management of a comprehensive Class Agent program. The Senior Associate Director will collaborate closely with their supervisor on overall metrics and progress as well as with the Director of Red & Black on leadership donor outreach and strategy. The Senior Associate Director will lead, mentor, and support a team of two annual giving officers. Collectively, the Senior Associate Director and their team will manage all Class agents with an emphasis on classes celebrating Reunions, as well as personal portfolios of leadership donors within their class cohorts. The Senior Associate Director serves as the primary owner and subject-matter expert for the School’s volunteer management system and digital giving platform, GiveCampus. The Class Giving team will play a critical role in meeting The Lawrenceville Fund’s $7.6+ million annual fundraising goal, while expanding donor acquisition, deepening donor loyalty, and sustaining year-over-year philanthropic growth. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Program Planning and Strategy Develop a comprehensive volunteer communication plan that ensures consistent staff touchpoints with Class Agents, delivers clear information and class fundraising updates, energizes volunteers during critical outreach windows, and thoughtfully stewards their ongoing efforts. The Senior Associate Director will be responsible for a portfolio of prospects with capacity to make leadership level gifts to The Lawrenceville Fund, and will work closely with A&D colleagues to coordinate strategy and solicitation. The Senior Associate Director will mentor two Annual Giving staff members by providing strategic oversight, coaching on class management best practices, and guidance in developing and stewarding their respective portfolios. The Senior Associate Director will provide strategic oversight for all class management efforts and will personally manage a minimum of 15 assigned class portfolios, with focused attention on Reunion classes to maximize volunteer engagement and fundraising outcomes. The Senior Associate Director will collaborate with the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement to provide strategic support for young alumni Class Giving efforts and donor acquisition. Serves as the primary owner and subject-matter expert for the School’s volunteer management system and digital giving platform, GiveCampus. Leads strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the platform, ensuring it is effectively used by the Class Giving team to support their daily work. Develops and delivers training for staff on system use and best practices, and establishes clear guidance for training, managing, and supporting volunteers in digital fundraising campaigns. In collaboration with A&D colleagues, set annual fundraising goals for each class; the Senior Associate Director is responsible for tracking and reporting progress throughout the year. Set the standard for the highest levels of confidentiality and customer service among the annual fund team and the wider office. Management and Supervision Responsible for the direct supervision of two annual giving officers, providing mentorship, training and professional development for the team. Set annual goals for each Annual Giving Officer and track progress toward these goals on a regular basis, conducting annual (and regular) performance reviews. Perform other duties as assigned.
