Phillips Manufacturing is the one-stop shop for drywall finishing accessories, lath, stucco accessories, metal channels, interior framing, and fire-rated assemblies with facilities around the country.&nbsp;</p><p>The Production Supervisor will supervise and direct plant personnel to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment while ensuring the quality of product fabricated meets company/customer guidelines.&nbsp;</p><p><br>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</p><p>-Supervise and direct plant personnel to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment.</p><p>-Continually monitor production to ensure quality of product while working with Production Manager and/or quality department to assure quality expectations are achieved.</p><p>-Continually monitor equipment line rates to ensure production goals are met, ensure production boards are being used properly and daily.&nbsp;</p><p>-Ensure operators know and understand their daily production responsibilities and goals.</p><p>-Conduct employee training in equipment operations and safety procedures and assign employee training to experienced workers.</p><p>-Work with product line operators in the adjustment of machines within the parameters of the collective bargaining agreement. &nbsp;</p><p>-Continually seek Lean methods to reduce cost by improving productivity, reducing materials usage, scrap, etc.</p><p>-Review with scheduling outgoing load schedules; assign personnel to product lines and ensure product is ready and available.</p><p>-Coordinate with maintenance for the repair of, or changeover of, equipment.</p><p>-Abide by, maintain, monitor, and enforce plant rules and regulations, including all safety regulations.</p><p>-Help create a visual workplace and repeatable processes by using Lean manufacturing principles.</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><br></p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\">Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</p><p>-Have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.</p><p>-Good organizational and time management skills.</p><p>-Good analytical/mathematical skills.</p><p>-Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>-Ability to work with and/or without close supervision.</p><p>-Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and requirements.</p><p>-Ability to work with a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds.</p><p>-Ability to make fair and consistent judgments and decisions.</p><p>-Ability to operate a tape measure, micrometer, ruler, and other precision measuring equipment.</p><p>-Ability to operate a computer system, telephone, calculator, copier, fax, and other office equipment.</p><p>-Will be computer literate, particularly in all Microsoft office programs.</p><p>-Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.</p><p><br></p><p>Experience, Education:&nbsp;</p><p>3-5 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience in a leadership role.
