You’ll handle everything from routine maintenance to quick-thinking breakdown fixes and system upgrades—all while working closely with the Controls Assistant Manager and external partners.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We’re looking for a motivated problem-solver with sharp attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for teamwork. You’ll bring broad technical expertise, especially in diagnosing and repairing complex systems, and help train team members on control technologies. Your goal? Minimize downtime, boost reliability, and keep the guest experience seamless and exciting every day.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2>\n<h3><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Prioritize safety in all tasks and procedures.</p></li>\n <li><p>Complete daily tasks on ride control systems using HxGN (Enterprise Asset Management system).</p></li>\n <li><p>Support the Controls Assistant Manager in fostering a high-performing, improvement-focused team culture.</p></li>\n <li><p>Promote efficient practices using tools such as HxGN and Root Cause Analysis, aiming for predictive maintenance strategies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and ride start-up procedures.</p></li>\n <li><p>Follow technical documentation updates (e.g. safety bulletins, manual revisions, PPM amendments).</p></li>\n <li><p>Share system knowledge to strengthen overall team capability and confidence.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain a positive, professional mindset aligned with Merlin Entertainments’ mission and values.</p></li>\n <li><p>Actively pursue professional development opportunities (e.g. training, certifications, memberships).</p></li>\n <li><p>Respond to compliance-related communications and documentation promptly.</p></li>\n <li><p>Keep ride equipment and work areas clean, organized, and secure.</p></li>\n <li><p>Inspect and identify safety hazards, ensuring all rides meet compliance standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Follow established ASTM, NEC, local codes, and internal loss prevention guidelines.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with operations teams to address downtime issues and improve efficiency.</p></li>\n <li><p>Understand and uphold OEM and regulatory standards for all attractions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain calm, rational decision-making during emergencies or high-pressure situations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Proven experience with control equipment and logic-based controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff).</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet IP, Profibus, CIP, EtherCAT, Modbus, ASII, SERCOS).</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, actuators, and related technologies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.</p></li>\n <li><p>Skilled in low-voltage electrical wiring and troubleshooting.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with AC/DC drive systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical skills for control system fault diagnosis and logic programming.</p></li>\n <li><p>Understanding of VLAN/WLAN protocols and automated control devices.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with open/closed-loop control systems, including 0–10V and 4–20mA.</p></li>\n <li><p>Competence in electrical installation work.</p></li>\n <li><p>Preferred experience with systems like Vectorworks, Q-Sys, Nion Media Matrix, Alcorn McBride, Yamaha, GrandMA, and Shure Audio.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, ETCP, NFPA, and industry-specific safety standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with CCTV systems (analog and PoE network-based).</p></li>\n <li><p>High attention to detail, particularly when handling life safety electrical equipment.</p></li>\n <li><p>Commitment to internal compliance with safety and security procedures.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent health care options (medical, dental, and vision that encourage preventative care).</li>\n <li>Outstanding Paid Time Off (PTO) that allows for adventure, rest, relaxation, or recuperation.</li>\n <li>Merlin Magic Pass for friends and family to enjoy the parks & attractions</li>\n <li>Recognition Programs and Rewards</li>\n <li>401(k) program with company match</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs</li>\n <li>Numerous learning and advancement opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>From USD $27.00/Hr.",
