Overview We are looking for a Youth & Family Program Coordinator to support programs that create a welcoming, safe, and engaging experience for children and families. This role plays a key part in supporting youth programs, special events, and family engagement opportunities at the Bonner Springs Family YMCA in Bonner Springs, KS. Responsibilities Program Coordination & Delivery Plan, coordinate, and support youth and family programs including Kids Zone and Kids Night Out Organize and manage program registrations and maintain accurate participant records Coordinate facility usage for program activities and events Monitor program participation and evaluate effectiveness to support continuous improvement Lead YMCA special events and family engagement activities Family & Community Engagement Participate in marketing and recruitment efforts to grow program participation Assist in expanding programs within the community in alignment with YMCA strategic priorities Respond to member and community questions, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner Assist with fundraising initiatives and community events Staffing & Leadership Support Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding associates and volunteers Help supervise staff and support day-to-day program operations Develop staff schedules within established guidelines Participate in staff meetings and ongoing team communication Operations & Administration Assist in managing day-to-day departmental operations Maintain organized program supplies, schedules, and documentation Ensure high-quality program delivery and participant experience Safety & Risk Management Ensure programs operate safely and follow YMCA policies and procedures Report unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately to a supervisor Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years’ experience in this or a related field. Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions. Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment. Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality. Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient. Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
