Responsibilities Take accountability for development of project implementation plans Supervise and provide guidance to project staff in all matters involving written and verbal communication Communicate information at multiple levels within the client’s organization Serve as the direct point of contact for the client Facilitate project meetings, formal and informal, with the owner, design team, vendors, etc. Work closely with vendors to furnish and outfit spaces in alignment with project requirements Oversee and support onsite move activities, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption Prepare project teams and staff for office/space relocations and moves Operate with a high level of independence, serving as the local point of contact while collaborating with remote team members Establish project protocols for project specific types of documentation Implement the Furniture, Fixture and Equipment plan Plan and implement competitive procurements as required Prepare project monthly reports including costs, schedule, safety, etc. Monitor adherence to the contract Conduct performance reviews for direct reports Assert the authority and decision making required for managing the assigned project or project task Gain exposure to financial project management and accountability Provide direction to sub-contractors as required and consistent with the client’s direction Act as owner’s representative in managing onsite vendors during activation and move timeframes Coaches and mentors less experienced team members Supports a positive and inclusive work environment Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION BS or MS degree in related field 3-7 years of project management or specialized experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel Powerpoint, Project, Access, and Visio) Excellent listening skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Construction document and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of construction Knowledge of BIM360, CADD, Bluebeam Detailed knowledge of at least one TPM market sector, such as healthcare, government/military, research and development/laboratory, or higher education Ability to travel and flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary ***The initial project is located in Milwaukee, WI; however, future assignments may require up to 60% travel.*** Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Milwaukee this ranges from $75,000.00-$90,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan. We invest in our employees’ education and have built Gilbane University into a top training organization in the construction industry.
