    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey</strong> has an exciting opportunity for an experienced <strong>Senior Information Systems Engineer </strong>supporting the AFLCMC/EBD Joint Strike Missile Program at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties include, but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide expert guidance on technology‑related risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.</li>\n <li>Perform system resource management to ensure optimal performance and availability.</li>\n <li>Maintain configuration baselines and accurately document all system changes.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.</li>\n <li>Conduct inventories, inspections, troubleshooting, and oversight of secure equipment and classified keying material in support of COMSEC requirements.</li>\n <li>Ensure proper receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding, and destruction of COMSEC material and equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform courier duties for COMSEC materials in accordance with established procedures.</li>\n <li>Collect, maintain, and report data required for internal and external reporting obligations.</li>\n <li>Conduct self‑inspections and support preparation efforts for customer or compliance inspections.</li>\n <li>Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures.</li>\n <li>Apply working knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53 controls and processes required for obtaining and sustaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) or Authority to Connect (ATC).</li>\n <li>Maintain and update systems, configurations, and documentation as operational requirements evolve.</li>\n <li>Analyze mission needs and convert them into clear software or system specifications.</li>\n <li>Conduct integration testing involving hardware and software components to validate functionality and compliance.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>Must have a current <strong>Secret</strong> <em>and</em> ability to obtain and maintain a <strong>Top Secret</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor of Science (BS) in a computer science program + 13 years Relevant Experience OR Master of Science (MS) in a computer science program + 8 years Relevant Experience, OR Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a computer science program + 5 years Relevant Experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance: Top Secret</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong></p>\n<p>Master of Science (MS) in an ABET-accredited computer science program + 8 years Relevant Experience, OR Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) + 5 years Relevant Experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Technical Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in handling, tracking, safeguarding, and destroying classified keying material and secure equipment.</li>\n <li>Working understanding of NIST SP 800‑53, ATO/ATC processes, and cybersecurity compliance documentation.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain configuration baselines, document system changes, and perform system resource management.</li>\n <li>Skilled in writing system documentation, procedures, and technical reports to support audits and inspections.</li>\n <li>Experience conducting integration testing involving hardware/software interfaces and translating mission needs into technical requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li>Maintains strict accuracy in inventories, documentation, and compliance activities under secure conditions.</li>\n <li>Comfortable working with cybersecurity, engineering, leadership, and mission support teams.</li>\n <li>Capable of identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and troubleshooting issues efficiently.</li>\n <li>Able to manage shifting requirements, multiple tasks, and evolving mission objectives in a secure environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Additional Information</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Eglin AFB, FL</p>\n<p><strong>Travel:</strong> As required by program needs</p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> Onsite</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-MB1</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
