This is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to become skilled communicators prepared to lead and innovate in a diverse and globally connected world. Through a curriculum that integrates theory with contemporary professional practices, we empower students to analyze, create, and strategically manage messages across a variety of platforms and contexts.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Teach courses as assigned which correlate with the catalog descriptions and course outlines, in a manner designed to assist the student in achieving the specific objectives of the course. &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Teach undergraduate courses in any of the following areas: introductory communications or media studies, communications theory, intercultural communication,&nbsp;principles of public relations, strategic communications</span></li>\n <li><span>Communicate regularly and professionally with the Program Director</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide detailed and timely feedback to students on&nbsp; assignments</span></li>\n <li><span>Hold student&nbsp; hours (sometimes known as “office hours”) weekly</span></li>\n <li><span>Complete required administrative tasks, including verifying enrollment rosters, submitting syllabi to the department for approval and records, entering final grades, and completing any necessary paperwork in a timely manner.</span></li>\n <li><span>Comply with all relevant program and university policies</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>MA Degree in Communication Studies or related field</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in a variety of communication and teaching perspectives</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of contemporary communication theories and applications</span></li>\n <li><span>Excellent relational skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Terminal degree or professional experience relevant to upper division, undergraduate Communication Studies major courses.</span></li>\n <li><span>Prior teaching experience at the university level</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of the ethical and practical roles of AI in the field of communications</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>TO APPLY:&nbsp;</strong>Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, current resume or CV, a statement of teaching philosophy [not to exceed 1000 words], and contact information for two (2) professional references to the Moravian University employment portal.&nbsp; We will notify applicants before we contact their references, which would be after the Zoom interview stage.
