    "description": "<p><span>The </span><a href=\"http://www.emeraldcloudlab.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Emerald Cloud Laboratory</a><span> (ECL) enables life scientists to move out of the lab, and to conduct research entirely from a computer. Stepping away from manual completion of experiments at the bench, scientists on the ECL leverage the remote, automated execution of all standard biology and chemistry experiments in Emerald’s industrial lab facilities, working within a software platform for all stages of research workflows, from experimental design to data analysis. Our system empowers scientists at Big Pharma companies, startups, and academic laboratories by allowing them to run wet lab experiments from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot into the lab.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The demand for our service is growing, and to meet that demand, we are recruiting <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lab Operators </span>looking to explore opportunities in the biotech space and grow with our organization. Qualified candidates will receive comprehensive lab and safety training, allowing them the ability to run protocols in our Austin facility. These protocols are critical to sustaining the high-quality operations of the facility and provide experience working in ECL’s unique, process-driven lab environment with our integrated software tools.</span></p>\n<p><span><br><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">These are contract positions with a potential to convert to full-time ECL employees subject to meeting performance metrics. </span></em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced production, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments with defined success metrics and goals for teams and individuals</li>\n<li>Ability to follow detailed written instruction required to successfully run stated protocols with minimal supervision</li>\n<li>Keen attention to detail, highly organized, and diligent</li>\n<li>Understands and follows all ECL and site-specific policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Willing to participate in continuous improvement and operation exercises</li>\n<li>Strong computer skills and not intimidated to learn new systems.</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts</li>\n<li>Comply with all lab safety guidelines and use appropriate safety and protected devices when performing duties in the lab</li>\n<li>Ability to work flexible shifts/hours<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">12.5 hours per day</span>)</span>, as well as overtime as needed, which requires standing on lab floor for the duration of a work shift not including breaks.</li>\n<li>Lifting and handling of materials used for experiments will be required, not to exceed OSHA guidelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>This role requires the operation of specific laboratory equipment that may pose safety hazards to individuals with certain medical conditions or implanted metal devices. Please consult with a healthcare provider if you have concerns about safely performing these tasks.</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills &amp; Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 - 3 years of experience working in either a laboratory environment or regulated manufacturing industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biotechnology, Automotive, etc.)</li>\n<li>Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Laboratory Practices (GMP/GLP) environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This is a non-exempt, contract-to-FTE role, with openings available for day &amp; night shifts and the ability to start immediately.
