    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are looking to add a compassionate Med Aide to our amazing Keystone team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Keystone Treatment Center is a 126 Bed Treatment Center providing services to adults on an inpatient basis. Keystone is located in Canton SD, just a short drive from Sioux Falls, SD.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Assist with the administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment, under the direction of charge nurse or supervisor.</p>\n<p>· Administer prescribed medications to patients according to established protocols and physician orders.</p>\n<p>· Prepare and organize medication doses, including oral, topical, and other forms as directed.</p>\n<p>· Ensure medications are stored and handled in accordance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.</p>\n<p>· Document patient interactions and report changes in patient conditions or behaviors by communicating with team. Significant changes are reported to nurse immediately.</p>\n<p>· Document timely, accurate, and appropriate information in patient medical record.</p>\n<p>· Identify self to patient and visitors promptly and respond to patient requests quickly.</p>\n<p>· Respond to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress.</p>\n<p>· Apply de-escalation techniques to help manage patient’s emotions, behavior, and participation in treatment.</p>\n<p>· Communicate clearly and effectively to patients, family members, guests, and other members of the health care team.</p>\n<p>· Adherence to work schedule and overall attendance.</p>\n<p>· Follow established policies, procedures, and standards for patient care.</p>\n<p>· Stay informed about changes in medication practices and healthcare regulations.</p>\n<p>· Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.</p>\n<p>· Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat and rehabilitate.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Join a team with defined career paths and a national family of hospitals and facilities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SHIFTS AND HOURS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>We have a full-time night position available. </li>\n <li>Scheduled Shifts are 8 Hours / Work every third weekend</li>\n <li>Shift Differential </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Completion of a Medication Technician/Aide training program as required by the state in which the facility is located.</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication administration techniques.</li>\n <li>Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience working with the population of the facility preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certification as a Medication Technician/Aide, as required by the state in which the facility is located.</li>\n <li>CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</li>\n <li>First aid may be required based on state or facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#KEYTC</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws</p>",
