Full Stack Engineer (React & Node.js)

ABOUT YOU We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who is product-minded, detail-oriented, and a strong collaborator to join our Lightstream engineering team at Xsolla. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to design, build, and ship full-stack applications end-to-end, owning features from React UI through API to database, and bringing them to production in cross-functional teams. Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals, React expertise, and backend engineering skills across distributed microservices are essential, along with experience in the MERN stack, relational and document databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and modern authentication constructs such as JWT, Claims, and OAuth 2.0. The ability to diagnose and prevent performance issues, prioritize automation, and uphold observability and technical design standards will be key to your success in this role. Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing across teams. Execute full SDLC for solutions targeting both business and consumer customers. Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams to bring features and APIs to production. Demonstrate strong leadership presence to inspire team members. Comfortable with distributed systems and large datasets. Prioritize automation to enhance efficiency wherever feasible. Ensure compliance with observability best practices and technical design standards. Requirements 5+ years experience in web application development Professional experience with the MERN stack (and TypeScript) Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems A love for automated testing Proficiency in state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, etc.) Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). Experience designing and operating distributed microservices in containerized environments Proficient working experience with modern auth constructs such as JWT, Claims, OAuth 2.0 We get really excited about people that can meet on Experience debugging specialized, deep problems (e.g., browser incompatibilities, billing systems, memory leaks) and a passion for user experience design. Experience with monorepos, microfrontend architecture, or modular web applications. Understanding of observability and monitoring. A deep knowledge of NestJS Bonus Round (Not required but if it’s relevant let us know) Experience with our current product management tools: Atlassian suite (Jira), Figma, G Suite, and Slack. You love gaming and/or live streaming and are well versed in the language and needs of the community. Measure what matters.
