Description
Experienced Maintenance Technician – Pierce County
Reports To: Property Manager
Pay: $35-$40/hour | Full-time | Hourly non-exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Technician in Pierce County to support the daily operations of our residential communities. This role is responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment for residents, under the direction of the Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to and complete maintenance service requests, work orders, and unit make‑ready tasks
· Perform routine and minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic structural work
· Monitor, maintain, and inspect building systems and interior/exterior common areas
· Maintain property grounds, including trash removal and light landscaping duties
· Clean and upkeep interior common spaces as required
· Support special projects and coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
· Identify and promptly report safety concerns, incidents, or property issues
· Participate in on‑call coverage and emergency maintenance response
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required
· 2+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience , preferably in residential or multifamily settings
· Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools across multiple trades
· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
· Consistent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
· Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks
