This unique role combines pharmacy coordination, problem-solving, patient support, and administrative responsibilities in a collaborative healthcare environment.</p><p>As a Hospice Pharmacy Technician, you&#39;ll be a vital resource for our nurses, pharmacies, patients, and families&mdash;helping ensure medications are obtained quickly, questions are answered promptly, and patient care continues without interruption.</p><p>If you enjoy staying organized, helping others, solving problems, and working as part of a compassionate healthcare team, we&#39;d love to hear from you.</p><h2>What You&#39;ll Do</h2><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Triage medication-related requests from nurses and clinical staff.</li><li>Coordinate prescription refills, new prescriptions, and medication changes.</li><li>Communicate with pharmacies to ensure timely access to medications.</li><li>Process prior authorizations and follow up on medication approvals.</li><li>Enter and maintain accurate patient and prescription information in the electronic medical record (EMR).</li><li>Help resolve urgent medication issues and coordinate solutions.</li><li data-section-id=\"1bartkc\" data-start=\"336\" data-end=\"448\" data-pasted=\"true\">Conduct medication audits, inventory reconciliation, and follow-up on discrepancies as needed.</li><li data-section-id=\"yym6gi\" data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"547\">Support quality assurance activities related to medication management and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as needed.</li></ul><h2>What We&#39;re Looking For</h2><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician certification/registration.</li><li>At least two years of Pharmacy Technician experience.</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.</li><li>Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.</li></ul><h2>Why This Role Is Different</h2><p>This is not a retail pharmacy position.
