In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work directly with clients and regulators, and provide technical and project management support across a diverse portfolio of environmental projects. We're genuine co-owners, and this ESOP setup promotes a culture of collaboration and engagement throughout MSA because we all have a direct financial interest as owners.\"</em></p>\n<p>-Project Engineer Transportation, Cedar Rapids Office</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><em><strong>Role Responsibilities</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Client & Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies during site investigation activities</li>\n <li>Communicate with regulatory authorities and clients regarding current and future site investigations</li>\n <li>Obtain site access agreements and required authorizations</li>\n <li>Present investigation results to clients, residents, and other stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project & Technical Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Plan, execute, and complete:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)</li>\n   <li>Limited Site Investigations</li>\n   <li>Remedial Investigations and remediation activities</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Perform and oversee:\n  <ul>\n   <li>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and other environmental sampling</li>\n     <li>Drilling activities using direct push and hollow‑stem auger methods</li>\n     <li>Monitoring well installation and soil gas sampling</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Conduct aquifer testing and hydrogeologic analysis with senior technical guidance</li>\n <li>Interpret lithology, geologic features, and environmental data</li>\n <li>Prepare high‑quality technical reports including: ESAs, remedial investigation reports, case closures, corrective action designs and remedial action plans</li>\n <li>Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets</li>\n <li>Review technical reports, proposals, and subcontractor invoices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em><strong>What you bring</strong></em></p>\n<p><em><strong>Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Geology or closely related discipline required</li>\n <li>Project Geologist (PG) required, multiple states are a plus</li>\n <li>10+ years of related environmental experience required</li>\n <li>3+ years in a consulting company strongly preferred</li>\n <li>This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
