The role supports localization workflows by preparing files for translation and ensuring accurate post-localization formatting across multiple languages and formats.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform desktop publishing (DTP) tasks for multilingual content across various formats (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, PDF, Word, PowerPoint)</li>\n<li>Adjust layouts to accommodate text expansion/contraction in different languages</li>\n<li>Ensure consistency in formatting, typography, spacing, and alignment across localized versions</li>\n<li>Handle right-to-left (RTL) and complex scripts formatting</li>\n<li>Prepare source files for localization (file extraction, cleanup, font checks, etc.)</li>\n<li>Conduct post-localization formatting and visual QA</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and fix formatting issues, missing fonts, text overflow, encoding problems, etc.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with localization project managers, linguists, and QA teams</li>\n<li>Maintain and follow DTP guidelines, templates, and best practices</li>\n<li>Support automation initiatives (scripts, batch processing) where applicable</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills &amp; Competencies</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong proficiency in:</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Adobe InDesign</li>\n<li>Adobe Illustrator</li>\n<li>Adobe Photoshop</li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with PDF editing tools (e.g., Acrobat Pro)</li>\n<li>Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, or similar) is a plus</li>\n<li>Understanding file formats: IDML, INDD, AI, PSD, PDF, XML, HTML</li>\n<li>Knowledge of typography, fonts, and encoding (Unicode, UTF-8)</li>\n<li>Experience with RTL languages (especially Arabic) is highly preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DTP &amp; Localization Knowledge</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of multilingual layout challenges</li>\n<li>Experience handling complex scripts (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)</li>\n<li>Awareness of text expansion, line breaking, and font substitution issues</li>\n<li>Knowledge of print vs digital formatting requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Soft Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High attention to detail and visual accuracy</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects</li>\n<li>Problem-solving mindset and proactive communication</li>\n<li>Team collaboration across cross-functional teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience &amp; Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>2–5+ years of experience in DTP, localization, or graphic production</li>\n<li>Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related field is preferred</li>\n<li>Experience working in a localization or translation environment is a strong advantage</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice-to-Have (Localization Engineering)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic to intermediate knowledge of localization engineering workflows (file preparation, parsing, and post-processing)</li>\n<li>Experience handling structured file formats such as XML, HTML, JSON, YAML, and XLIFF</li>\n<li>Familiarity with regex for search, cleanup, and text manipulation tasks</li>\n<li>Exposure to scripting/automation (e.g., JavaScript for Adobe, Python, or VBA) to streamline DTP and localization tasks</li>\n<li>Experience with CAT tool file handling and troubleshooting (e.g., filter configurations, tag issues)</li>\n<li>Understanding of encoding standards (UTF-8, Unicode) and character-related issues in multilingual content</li>\n<li>Familiarity with QA and validation tools (e.g., Verifika, Xbench, or similar)</li>\n<li>Experience working with localization pipelines, including file handoff between engineering, translation, and DTP stages</li>\n<li>Ability to troubleshoot file import/export issues across tools and formats</li>\n<li>Awareness of automation and scalability opportunities within localization workflows (batch processing, scripting, etc.)</li>\n</ul>",
