    "description": "<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CNC Programmer</span>. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. This position is located in our San Diego, CA-Otay Mesa location and reports to the Director of Manufacturing.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span><br>Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.  Maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Responsibilities May Include:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates instructions for machining parts using Mastercam</li>\n<li>Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints (SolidWorks)<br></li>\n<li>Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut</li>\n<li>Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program</li>\n<li>Communicates with engineers and clients who will use the programs</li>\n<li>Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests</li>\n<li>Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software</li>\n<li>Determines sequence of operations in a program<br></li>\n<li>Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency</li>\n<li>Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs</li>\n<li>Prepares and sets up CNC machines to run first parts </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Basic Qualifications &amp; Education:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years programming experience in composite CNC machined parts</li>\n<li>MUST have advanced knowledge of programming </li>\n<li>Strong <span>understanding of 4 and 5 Axis machining, materials, processes and tolerances</span></li>\n<li>Mechanically able to assemble and disassemble parts and assemblies<br></li>\n<li>Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to establish objectives </li>\n<li>Experience with contact and non-contact inspection methods</li>\n<li>Organized, self-motivated, strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy</li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple duties, set priorities and follow tasks through completion</li>\n<li>Capable of working in an environment in which demands and priorities change</li>\n<li>Processing techniques such as wet lay-up, mold and fixture design, inspection methods, and infusion preferred</li>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Perks and Benefits: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>100% Employer Paid Medical and Dental </span></li>\n<li><span>Annual Bonus</span></li>\n<li><span>401K - 5% match</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Employee Stocks Option Program </span></li>\n<li><span>9/80 work schedule</span></li>\n<li><span>8- paid Holidays </span><br></li>\n<li><span>PTO: Maximum 4-weeks after 5 years of employment </span></li>\n<li><span>$2,500 tuition reimbursement </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span></p>\n<p><span>The hourly range for this position falls within $40-$50.
