Our team of experts provides innovative engineering, logistics, sustainment, and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure, while addressing the most complex cyber operations and national defense challenges. </p>\n<p>Peraton is seeking a <strong>Network Engineer </strong>to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.  </p>\n<p>The <strong>Network Engineer</strong> supports the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity. They assist senior engineers in configuring hardware, troubleshooting issues, and introducing improvements to enhance network performance and security. </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities may include:</strong> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Network Engineer </strong>will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with the design and deployment of enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support the integration of new network technologies into existing environments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform routine network monitoring to ensure system health and connectivity. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Configure and update network devices under senior engineering guidance. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across local and wide-area networks. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configuration files, and change logs. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience, PhD with 0 years of experience, Will accept four additional years of experience in lieu of degree </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 411 requirements, including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing, monitoring, and maintaining DoD gateway and boundary systems. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting enterprise network operations and troubleshooting connectivity issues. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience performing routine network maintenance and monitoring. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to enterprise-class networking hardware from vendors such as Cisco or Juniper. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with wireless network configuration and troubleshooting. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking environments. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge of load balancers and VPN technologies. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
