Position Summary: The Buyer II supports Bauer’s pre-construction and project execution teams by independently managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for construction projects. This role extends beyond transactional purchasing and requires sound judgment in managing Request for Quote (RFQ) processes, bid analysis, supplier selection/evaluation, commercial negotiations, and compliance with project-specific requirements. The role requires balancing cost-efficiency with supplier reliability and fostering long-term vendor relationships. The Buyer II is expected to operate with minimal supervision and serves as a trusted partner to Bauer’s Tendering Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations personnel.
