    "jobDescription": "<p><u><b>ABOUT THE ROLE</b></u></p><p></p><p>NWSL Atlanta is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the organization’s accounting function and oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&amp;A), including annual budgeting, variance analysis, and special projects. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be instrumental in building a best-in-class finance organization, establishing scalable processes, and hiring a high-performing team ahead of the club’s 2028 launch. This position will also serve as the primary<span> Finance </span>liaison to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant league reporting.</p><p></p><p>This fully onsite role will be based at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, until 2028 when the role will be based at our new world-class training facility in Marietta, GA.</p><h1></h1><p></p><p><u><b><span>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></b></u></p><p></p><p><b>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead the annual budgeting <span>process</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee monthly financial statements and key performance indicators</span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicate financial insights, analysis, and performance results to department leaders</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support the Chief Financial Officer in financial modeling and scenario analysis</span></p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Club Leadership to evaluate and manage the financial impact of business cases and capital investments</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Accounting &amp; Controllership Functions</b></p><ul><li><p>Oversee all general ledger activities, including bank and account reconciliations, fixed assets, and related processes</p></li><li><p>Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable tax regulations</p></li><li><p>Lead month-end close and annual audit</p></li><li><p>Support the Chief Financial Officer in cash flow management, treasury, insurance programs, and tax compliance</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li><p>Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to establish best-in-class financial processes in support of the club’s 2028 launch</p></li><li><p>Partner with finance teams and operational staff <span>across the Blank Family of Businesses (BFOB) </span>to identify and solve business problems, support strategic initiatives, and improve operating <span>performance</span></p></li><li><p>Lead all NWSL Atlanta team financial <span>reporting</span></p></li><li><p>Lead or support special projects and other initiatives as <span>needed</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Leadership &amp; Team Development</b></p><ul><li><p>Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting <span>team of 1-2</span></p></li><li><p><span>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><u><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></u></p><p></p><p><b><span>Required</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or <span>Finance</span></p></li><li><p>8&#43; years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 3-5 years of experience at the manager level</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting<span> requirements</span></p></li><li><p>Experience with a professional sports league or club (NWSL a<span> plus)</span></p></li><li><p>Proven experience overseeing general ledger, audit, and financial close <span>processes</span></p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to build and improve financial processes and controls in a dynamic environment</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of financial and accounting software and systems; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint</p></li><li><p>Strong leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and business partnering skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain <span>confidentiality</span></p></li></ul><h1></h1><p></p><p><b><span>Preferred</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>CPA</span> <span>designation</span></p></li><li><p>Experience with Great Plains and Vena <span>Solutions</span></p></li></ul>",
