Assists in the coordination of safe patient care between departments. Provides basic life support, emergency care, and transportation to the sick and/or injured as needed.</p>\n<p><strong>Reports:</strong></p>\n<p>Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services, Medical Director of Emergency Services, Chief Paramedic</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<p>None</p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<p>Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 21 years of age</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<p>Preferred: Six (6) months experience as an Emergency Care Technician.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum: Licensed Florida Emergency Medical Technician. Must possess a State of Florida Class “E” Driver’s License. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. HAZ-MAT Awareness. Completion of 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC). Must meet all current, applicable requirements of Chapter 401, Florida Statutes and Chapter 64 J-1 Florida Administrative Code for Emergency Medical Technicians. All Certifications and Licenses are required at the time of hire. All Certificates and Licenses must be kept current as a condition of continued employment. </li>\n <li>Behavioral Criteria: Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.
