Under the direction of the Clinic Director, the ‘PRN’ nurse provides direct patient care, working alongside our board-certified physician faculty, playing a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. This position would be to fill in when our fulltime nursing staff is scheduled or unexpectedly away from their duties. Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collecting medical histories and monitoring vital signs, documenting in the EMR</li>\n <li>Assisting physicians with minor in-office surgical procedures and physical examinations</li>\n <li>Performing routine screenings such as hearing, vision, ECG, etc.</li>\n <li>Administering medications, injections, immunizations and performing wound care or dressing changes</li>\n <li>Assessing patient needs via phone or in person; coordinating care with other specialist, facilitating follow up, responding to messages from physicians</li>\n <li>Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean, safe workplace and equipment</li>\n <li>Restocking rooms, routine autoclave cleaning of equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>LPN or RN degree.</p>\n<p>Ability to manage high patient volumes in an efficient manner.</p>\n<p>Strong interpersonal skills for patient, family and team communication.</p>\n<p>Proficiency in technical nursing skills such as IV start, blood draws, dressings, manual vitals.</p>\n<h2>Other Information</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>New York Institute of Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer – </em><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>",
