Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a <strong>VDI Engineer</strong> in <strong>Herndon, Virginia</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a skilled VDI engineer to design, implement, and manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions that deliver a seamless and secure user experience. The candidate will have expertise in VDI technologies, cloud computing, and virtualization, with a strong focus on delivering high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions. Responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Integrating VDI solutions with cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for hybrid or cloud-native deployments.</li>\n <li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure VDI solutions meet application and user requirements.</li>\n <li>Troubleshooting and resolving complex VDI-related issues, working closely with vendors and internal teams as needed.</li>\n <li>Developing and maintaining documentation for VDI infrastructure, including design documents, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.</li>\n <li>Staying up-to-date with emerging VDI and cloud technologies, and recommending new solutions or features to improve the existing infrastructure.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:   </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a technical field and a minimum of 11 years of work experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with VDI solutions such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of hypervisors like Microsoft Hyper-V, AHV, VMware ESXi, or general VM hosting.</li>\n <li>Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, and load balancers.</li>\n <li>Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize VDI performance.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Relevant certifications such as Citrix CCA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft MCSE.</li>\n <li>Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions such as VMware Cloud on AWS or Citrix Cloud, as well as Nutanix cloud infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of security best practices and technologies, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and threat detection.</li>\n <li>Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Citrix Director or Nutanix Prism.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).</li>\n <li>Experience with multiple VDI platforms and the ability to evaluate and recommend new solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What you can expect from us</h2>\n<p><em>BCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
