font-size: 12pt\">Role</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The Mechanical Designer/Engineer is responsible for managing small sized projects (size and complexity) and the day-to-day activities within the project group including all technical, scheduling and project management issues.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Business Development</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work to develop strong, ongoing relationships with clients, building operators, contractors and other members of the Design Team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Create Proposals and Fee Letters as requested by the Principal.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">General Management</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Keep Group Lead apprised of activities. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead by example, following proper procedures. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in training courses and show initiative for professional development. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide insightful and enthusiastic assistance to other staff. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Production</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Attend and participate in weekly Mechanical meetings if called upon by Principal.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure compliance with company procedures and design standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure that all projects within the Group are staying on track and on schedule.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Inform Group members of any upcoming scheduling issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of their team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings on small projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the project teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Skills &amp; Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">At least 3-5 years of experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong design skills with meticulous attention to detail</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proven technical background</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Effective skills in project management operations, budgeting, business process and productivity improvements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Problem-solving and analytical ability; makes sound and timely decisions; able to timely identify key issues and understands when to consult Group Lead</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
