Description
Responsibilities
Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Manager, you'll
be part of our Industrial Global Supply Chain Aerospace team working as an
on-site employee. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for daily
production of gang channels, anchor nuts, and washers, along with driving
efficiencies for the heat treat and special processing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
'
Ensures to run a safe,
injury/accident-free workplace.
'
Responsible for daily management and
leadership of all resources assigned.
'
Schedule adherence, productivity,
personnel development, time and attendance, training and
establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
'
Enhances the operational procedures,
processes and systems to improve operational efficiencies.
'
Works independently and within a team
while coordinating with other Departmental Leaders and/or Managers to achieve daily/weekly/monthly
goals and objectives.
'
Interprets company policies to workers,
leads by example and enforces all Federal, State and local regulations.
'
Creates a departmental cross training
matrix and mentors assigned personnel.
'
Deploys team members to both
strategically and tactically engage in cross functional problem solving to
improve production efficiency and product quality.
'
Executes the production schedule,
manage people, assets, tooling and materials in running the production in most
productive fashion; engage actively in potential schedule or requirement
changes; ensure and enhance production schedule adherence.
'
Manages Key Performance Indicators
(KPI's) and other reporting daily to drive performance in all assigned areas;
and ensure all production data accuracies.
'
Ensures employees are trained on post
manufacturing processing procedures and practices.
'
Reviews variable costs, productivity,
earned standard hours and throughput daily and implement effective recovery or
corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
'
Actively participates in Continuous
Improvement (CI) projects to increase efficiency, productivity and machine
utilization while reducing overall cost.
'
Provides manufacturing expertise when
problems arise.
'
Formulates and maintains the highest
standards of housekeeping (6S) in all areas assigned.
'
Supports and improves upon quality
initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
'
Manages preventative maintenance
performed by production employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
' Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience.
' A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in Aerospace, Medical Device, Automotive, or similar industry.
' Experience hardening, tempering, annealing, and other heat-treating processes.
' Experience applying coatings and plating to aerospace parts using automated equipment or manual techniques.
' Understanding of stamping processes, including blanking, forming, and piercing.
' Strong analytical and understanding of techniques to meet coating and thickness desired.
' Effective verbal and written communications skills at all levels of the organization, especially with direct employees.
' Previous supervisory experience leading large teams (40+ people).
' Intermediate use of ERP (JDE), MS Office Suite and productivity tools.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. Preferred Qualifications:
' Experience with chemistry, metallurgy, material science or related field /equivalent.
Salary Range:
The base pay range for this position in California, $140,000 - $165,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for daily\r\nproduction of gang channels, anchor nuts, and washers, along with driving\r\nefficiencies for the heat treat and special processing functions. </p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><b> </b></p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nEnsures to run a safe,\r\ninjury/accident-free workplace.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nResponsible for daily management and\r\nleadership of all resources assigned.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nSchedule adherence, productivity,\r\npersonnel development, time and attendance, training and\r\nestablishing/monitoring departmental goals.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nEnhances the operational procedures,\r\nprocesses and systems to improve operational efficiencies.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nWorks independently and within a team\r\nwhile coordinating with other Departmental Leaders and/or Managers to achieve daily/weekly/monthly\r\ngoals and objectives.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nInterprets company policies to workers,\r\nleads by example and enforces all Federal, State and local regulations.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nCreates a departmental cross training\r\nmatrix and mentors assigned personnel.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nDeploys team members to both\r\nstrategically and tactically engage in cross functional problem solving to\r\nimprove production efficiency and product quality.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nExecutes the production schedule,\r\nmanage people, assets, tooling and materials in running the production in most\r\nproductive fashion; engage actively in potential schedule or requirement\r\nchanges; ensure and enhance production schedule adherence.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nManages Key Performance Indicators\r\n(KPI's) and other reporting daily to drive performance in all assigned areas;\r\nand ensure all production data accuracies.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nEnsures employees are trained on post\r\nmanufacturing processing procedures and practices.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nReviews variable costs, productivity,\r\nearned standard hours and throughput daily and implement effective recovery or\r\ncorrective actions when targets are not achieved.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nActively participates in Continuous\r\nImprovement (CI) projects to increase efficiency, productivity and machine\r\nutilization while reducing overall cost.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nProvides manufacturing expertise when\r\nproblems arise.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nFormulates and maintains the highest\r\nstandards of housekeeping (6S) in all areas assigned.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nSupports and improves upon quality\r\ninitiatives designed to meet plant goals.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>' \r\nManages preventative maintenance\r\nperformed by production employees.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Other duties as assigned.<br>\r\n<br>\r\n</p>\r\n\r\n</div>\r\n\r\n",
