Position Summary: This role will support the Paediatric Outpatient Clinics – specifically Neonatal Follow Up and Complex Care for Trillium Health Partners. Educational Requirements: Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) required. Membership in O.S.O.T. and C.A.O.T. preferred Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) courses for pediatrics is an asset Infant/Toddler Feeding courses is an asset Key Qualifications: Experience and comfort with infant/toddler handling, interactions, and developmental interventions Understanding and application of infant/toddler feeding issues and strategies for progression Providing clear and concise parent education to carry through feeding and developmental recommendations Knowledge of infant and toddler developmental patterns, detecting the subtleties of abnormalities for early detection of any developmental concerns Knowledge of early indicators and detection of ASD Familiarity with the Alberta Infant Motor Scale, Erhardt Fine Motor screening, Brigance, Early Screening Inventory Experience and comfort with medically complex infants, children, youth, adolescents Understanding the needs of medically complex pediatric patients; and their families Experience with infant/pediatric clinical feeding is an asset Awareness of community resources, community partners, and school board processes (ie. IPRC's, IEP's, supports, devices, etc.) Some knowledge of assistive devices, positioning, orthotics, and mobility aids for medically complex pediatric patients. Knowledge of updated equipment is an asset.
