This is a two-year appointment made by the Hualapai Tribal Council.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist as necessary, in issuing bench warrants, search warrants, subpoenas, court order judgments, and other documents as requested by the chief judge;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Carry out the functions of the Chief Judge when necessary i.e., hearing civil, juvenile and criminal court cases;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Be responsible for all notes, files and documentation used for court hearings and Legal research of cases;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Be able to interpret and abide by the Hualapai Law and Order Code; </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Renders judgments by weighing arguments and evidence; study relevant cases, writing an announcing opinion.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops in and out of state.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Deals tactfully and courteously with pubic.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Other duties as assigned by the Chief Judge.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D, Associate or Higher degree in law related field is preferable;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must have experience working in a judicial system;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Knowledge. Skills and Abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be familiar with the Hualapai Law and Order Code, constitution and tribal ordinances and other administrative rules and guidelines; </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must possess knowledge of case management;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must have excellent communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to maintain confidentiality;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work under stressful and demanding conditions;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be dependable.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Other:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be at least 21 years or older;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must never have been convicted of a felony;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must pass a background check;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass an MVR screening;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Submit to and pass a pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">HOW TO APPLY:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Submit a completed Employment Application to: Human Resources Department, PO Box 179, Peach Springs, AZ 86434, fax (928) 769-1191, or call (928) 769-2215/2216 for information. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">To be considered for employment, the Human Resources Department must receive a completed application by 5:0 PM on the closing date</span>. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A resume <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">will not</span> be accepted in lieu of a completed employment application. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">All applications and supporting documentation submitted becomes the property of the Human Resources Department please keep copies for your own reference.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">PREFERENCE:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">All applicants are considered without regard to age, sex, race, national origin, religion, marital status, or physical disability.
