As an operator of Job Corps centers for the U.S. Department of Labor, Horizons Youth Services provides innovative, quality educational and job training programs to enable young people to succeed in today&rsquo;s competitive job market and keep pace with the ever-changing dynamics of our worldwide economy.&nbsp;</p><p>The Milwaukee Job Corps Center serves income-eligible young adults ages 16 through 24 by equipping them with the academic and technical skills needed to launch successful careers. The center specializes in several hands-on, high-demand career pathways where enrolled students receive comprehensive support that eliminates financial barriers to education, job training and placement.</p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">If you are interested in helping our youth navigate their educational and career goals apply for our <u>Programs Director</u> position located at the Milwaukee Job Corps Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin today!</span></strong></p><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">In collaboration with the Center Director, assumes responsibilities for planning, organizing, administering, and controlling programs and activities necessary to meet the goals and objectives established for the effective management of Job Corps operations. &nbsp;</p><p>Duties:<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Directly supervises academic and career technical training managers, student support manager, and social development manager.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Supervises the hiring, training, assignment, and evaluation of assigned staff. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensures assigned staff assists students in developing and updating short- and long-term goals using the Personal Career Development Plan. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensures staff and student schedules are aligned to meet students&rsquo; academic and career technical training needs to promote combination graduates.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensures the residential and recreation areas are properly staffed, monitored, safe and clean, and all requirements are being followed, and students are engaged to ensure student retention.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Models, mentors and monitors appropriate career success skills and ensures the effective and efficient administration of the evaluation of student conduct systems.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensures the safety, health, and security of students, staff, and property.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Develops and implements systems, programs, and strategies to assist students achieve their career goals as determined by progress recorded on the OMS reports.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Develops and implements budgets, in collaboration with the F&amp;A Director, for assigned areas and operates within established budgets.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Conducts and documents classroom observations and provides feedback to promote continuous improvement.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Appropriate counseling activities are conducted to ensure student issues are followed up on.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensures all training and testing programs are continually evaluated to ensure rigor and relevance of content areas of instruction is aligned with the PRH and meet individual needs of students.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\" data-pasted=\"true\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs other duties as assigned within the individual&rsquo;s scope and capabilities.</p><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp; To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
