          "text": "<p><strong>Summary of Position</strong></p><p>The Men’s Baseball Head Coach is responsible for planning and administration of the Men’s Baseball program. The head coach provides vision, leadership and oversight for current student-athletes, prospective students-athletes, alumni, parents and supporters of the program.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide instruction and development in baseball skills, team concepts, physical conditioning, and safety for student-athletes in both individual and team settings.</li><li>Identify talented and academically qualified prospective student-athletes aligned with institutional mission.</li><li>Foster the holistic development of student-athletes through guidance in personal growth, academic success, and life skills.</li><li>Demonstrate competitive progress consistent with program and institutional goals.</li><li>Plan and execute practices and competitions, analyze performance through film, and facilitate team meetings to support development and strategy.</li><li>Maintain acceptable student-athlete retention rates to the team and/or institution.</li><li>Create baseball-specific practice and meet plans, analyze film and facilitate team meetings.</li><li>Supervise Assistant Coach(es) and/or graduate fellow(s).</li><li>Oversee program compliance following NCAA, MIAC, and Augsburg University rules and regulations.</li><li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive team environment.&#xa0;</li><li>Collaborate with Admissions to support enrollment goals.&#xa0;</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee budget management, fundraising, travel planning and program organization.</li><li>Oversee alumni/parent communication and involvement, including organizing events as appropriate.</li><li>Organize and participate in team community-service event(s).</li><li>Manage and/or participate in camps and clinics.</li><li>30% of the position will include an assigned duty from Athletic Director related to maintaining the Athletics department, including athletic equipment, concessions, game management, student-athlete academic support and administrative duties.&#xa0;</li><li>All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Work is performed in both office and athletic settings, including indoor and outdoor facilities.</li><li>Requires regular interaction with student-athletes, coaches, staff, alumni, parents, and prospective student-athletes</li><li>Requires evening and weekend work, as well as frequent travel for games, recruiting, and team-related activities.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during practices, games, and recruiting events.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate baseball-specific techniques and use coaching equipment as needed.</li><li>Frequent use of technology for film analysis, communication, and administrative responsibilities.</li><li>Ability to perform the physical duties associated with coaching and administering a collegiate baseball program, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to respond quickly in dynamic and fast-paced environments to ensure student-athlete safety.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree.&#xa0;</li><li>At least three (3) years of coaching and recruiting experience, preferably at the college level.</li><li>Knowledge and adherence to the MIAC Code of Ethics and ability to follow MIAC and NCAA Division III guidelines and regulations, while exhibiting behavior that represents a positive image of the athletic program and the University.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree.</li><li>At least two (2) years of head coaching experience, preferably at the college level.</li></ul><p><em>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</em></p><ul><li>Proven integrity and leadership skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to build and strengthen cross-campus relationships.</li><li>Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment.</li><li>Ability to be attentive to details, be accurate, be precise.</li><li>Ability to lead/teach and mentor others.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and work independently with little supervision.</li><li>Ability to reason/analyze; maintain confidentiality; and demonstrate patience, understanding.</li><li>Ability to show initiative; organize workflow; manage one or more projects; and handle frequent interruptions.</li></ul>",
