RAFT is looking for enthusiastic <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Camp Counselor</span> to support campers and instructors in creating a safe, engaging, and dynamic learning environment. Perfect for high school or college students considering a teaching career, this role offers valuable hands-on experience while inspiring young learners to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help set up and clean up daily hands-on activities.</li>\n<li>Support teachers in guiding campers’ focus and ensuring smooth transitions between lessons.</li>\n<li>Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere among campers.</li>\n<li>Keep the classroom organized by replenishing supplies and helping lead staff move materials to and from central storage.</li>\n<li>Package and store reusable materials at the end of each week.</li>\n<li>Complete at least 9 hours of onboarding, professional development, and staff meetings before camp begins.</li>\n<li>Participate in after-camp debrief sessions.</li>\n<li>Be attentive to the needs of campers and staff, assisting with issues as they arise.</li>\n<li>Help organize and collect pre- and post-camp student surveys.</li>\n<li>Take on other related responsibilities as needed.</li>\n<li>Supervise outdoor activities, ensuring camper safety at all times.</li>\n<li>Serve as a positive role model and mentor, encouraging interest in STEAM careers.</li>\n<li>Monitor campers during transitions and breaks to maintain a secure environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Genuine interest and experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.</li>\n<li>Availability for at least one full week, Monday through Friday, for either:</li>\n<li>Full day: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.</li>\n<li>Half day: AM 7:45–12:30 or PM 12:00–5:00.</li>\n<li>Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment.</li>\n<li>Proactive problem-solving skills, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.</li>\n<li>Strong professionalism to complete training and assigned tasks with excellence.</li>\n<li>Must obtain TB Risk Assessment and fingerprint clearance (paid for by RAFT).</li>\n<li>Upper high school or college student.</li>\n<li>Prior experience as a camp counselor or youth leader preferred.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join RAFT's STEAM Camp?</span></p>\n<p>At RAFT, we believe in sparking curiosity and building confidence through creative, hands-on STEAM learning.
