Arconic is currently in search of a Director, Environment, Health and Safety to join our Kawneer Business. This role will be preferably based at our headquarters in Norcross, GA.

Job Summary:
The Director, EHS is a member of the EHS lead team and reports to Vice President of Operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to immediately contribute to the Company’s EHS efforts. Business travel to other Building Construction System Products manufacturing locations will be necessary and frequent. The ideal candidate will drive environment, health and safety initiatives and process improvements across the organization. Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Translate all applicable Regional, Federal, State, and Arconic Safety-related regulations and procedures into actionable items that drive environmental, safety and health compliance and improvements across the business unit.
Deploy and implement Fatality and Serious Injury (“FSI”) Prevention programs.
Lead deployment and execution of organization wide safety initiatives and track to ensure closure.
Ensure and communicate regularly with staff and management regarding containment processes, SOPs, and safety issues that may arise as well as workplace hazard abatement, waste chemical identification and collection for proper disposal etc.
Investigate incidents to identify root causes and counter-measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Oversee and monitor the safety and environmental compliance of business unit and location programs, including overseeing the programs and training of site personnel, and providing recommendations to prevent future health and safety problems.
Provide case management guidance and training that supports the business.
Develop new and update existing written safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and inter-company engineering standards.
Communicate and advocate safety as priority with all levels of the Business Unit, Kawneer Corporate staff, and government representatives.
Demonstrate passion for change and relentless focus on execution.
Manage and support the professional development of EHS staff across the business unit and train the trainers to ensure proper ownership at line management level. (5 Manufacturing Sites & 11 Small Service Centers)

Qualifications
You have:
Bachelor’s Degree in safety, engineering, health or environmental from an accredited institution.
Minimum 10 years of experience with industrial safety experience in increasingly responsible leadership roles.
Minimum 5 years of management of staff and/or oversight of consultants.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Advanced Degree
Background in Industrial Manufacturing

"ExternalResponsibilitiesStr": "In this role, you will:\r\n- Translate all applicable Regional, Federal, State, and Arconic Safety-related regulations and procedures into actionable items that drive environmental, safety and health compliance and improvements across the business unit.\r\n- Deploy and implement Fatality and Serious Injury (“FSI”) Prevention programs.\r\n- Lead deployment and execution of organization wide safety initiatives and track to ensure closure.\r\n- Ensure and communicate regularly with staff and management regarding containment processes, SOPs, and safety issues that may arise as well as workplace hazard abatement, waste chemical identification and collection for proper disposal etc.\r\n- Investigate incidents to identify root causes and counter-measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.\r\n- Oversee and monitor the safety and environmental compliance of business unit and location programs, including overseeing the programs and training of site personnel, and providing recommendations to prevent future health and safety problems.\r\n- Provide case management guidance and training that supports the business.\r\n- Develop new and update existing written safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and inter-company engineering standards.\r\n- Communicate and advocate safety as priority with all levels of the Business Unit, Kawneer Corporate staff, and government representatives.\r\n- Demonstrate passion for change and relentless focus on execution.\r\n- Manage and support the professional development of EHS staff across the business unit and train the trainers to ensure proper ownership at line management level.
