    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>First Solar reserves the right to offer you a role most applicable to your experience and skillset.</p>\n<p><strong>Basic Job Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs, as directed, all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment and grounds, in a timely and cost efficient manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent required</li>\n <li>Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.</li>\n <li>Must meet one of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>6 months First Solar manufacturing experience or</li>\n   <li>6 months of outside manufacturing, mechanical, or agricultural experience</li>\n   <li>Military experience</li>\n   <li>Graduate from vocational High School with no experience required</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must pass community college entrance exam and complete manufacturing maintenance training program.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills/Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verifiable technical skills and/or background.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to work with little supervision.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Demonstrated troubleshooting skill.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li>\n <li>Proven communications skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to follow safe work practices.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of manufacturing equipment preferred.</li>\n <li>Proven Electro/Mechanical skills preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, vacuum systems and robotics preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><i>&nbsp;</i>Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.</li>\n <li>Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must meet at least 70% of Estimated Repair Times</li>\n <li>Interfaces with other departments.</li>\n <li>Follows standard OSHA, EPA and company safe practices on all work assignments.</li>\n <li>Ability to read electrical &amp; mechanical drawings and technical manuals.</li>\n <li>Performs other assignments as required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed as instructed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Will complete First Solar Maintenance&nbsp;Technician 1 training program.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationships:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>No direct reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>No regular travel is required outside the First Solar work site.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Estimated Salary range:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>$23.00-$29.00, Hourly</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>US Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.</li>\n <li>Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 51 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.</li>\n <li>Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow and green is required.</li>\n <li>May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.</li>\n <li>May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.</li>\n <li>Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &amp;/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).</li>\n <li>All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br/>&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>Potential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.&nbsp; &nbsp;All candidates receiving an offer of employment must successfully complete a background check and any other tests that may be required.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</i></p>\n<p><i>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: First Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
