Description

Description This position supports the daily operations and strategic functions of Human Resources through HR systems administration, workforce data management, reporting, and employee support. The role is responsible for maintaining data integrity within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system, troubleshooting HR system issues, analyzing workforce and payroll-related data, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. This position also partners with HR leadership and campus stakeholders to develop reporting solutions, support workforce planning initiatives, and improve HR processes and system functionality. This posting has an initial screening date of May 22, 2026 and each Friday thereafter until filled. Responsibilities Respond to Human Resources data inquiries from faculty, staff, and administrators, including assigned help desk tickets; troubleshoot system issues such as security roles, access permissions, and workflow navigation, and provide clear guidance on HR processes Maintain data integrity within the HR information system by processing HR transactions and updating employee records (faculty, staff, and student workers); investigate and resolve data discrepancies and advise departments on HR data management and payroll-related matters Support employees by evaluating issues, analyzing data, and recommending sound, policy-aligned solutions Generate and maintain standard and recurring reports to ensure data accuracy and minimize errors; review reports related to payroll, leave balances, and service tracking (e.g., longevity, tenure-related milestones where applicable) Analyze and calculate creditable service adjustments, including service dates, leave accruals, and longevity; review personnel transactions (e.g., hires, transfers, terminations) to ensure accuracy and compliance Review and update workflows, templates, and system fields in alignment with institutional policies and direction from HR leadership Document HR system procedures, business processes, and workflows; support system updates, testing cycles, and enhancements to Human Capital Management (HCM) modules Develop dashboards and advanced reports to support HR operations, institutional research, and leadership decision-making; analyze workforce data to identify trends related to recruitment, retention, diversity, and workforce planning Prepare and support required federal, state, and higher education reporting (e.g., IPEDS, EEO, and other regulatory or accreditation-related reports) Establish and maintain HR data standards and governance practices; conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements Partner with HR leadership, Institutional Research, and senior HR Business Partners to support workforce planning and strategic initiatives; translate business and academic needs into effective HR information system and data solutions Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of our (4) years of relevant experience supporting an HRIS, preferably within a college or university environment. Knowledge, skills, and abilities Experience processing HR transactions and maintaining employee data in a complex, multi-departmental environment Experience working in higher education with a strong understanding of HR processes, including faculty and staff lifecycle events (hire, transfer, promotion, termination) Knowledge of data governance, data integrity practices, and audit procedures Familiarity with compliance and reporting requirements (e.g., IPEDS, EEO, state reporting, FERPA considerations) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including faculty and administrators Experience with Oracle Fusion HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, and/or Learning Familiarity with Oracle security roles, workflow configuration, and approval hierarchies Knowledge of workforce analytics, dashboards, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Experience in SQL and advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation) Experience generating reports using Oracle tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) Data accuracy and attention to detail Customer service orientation and responsiveness Collaboration across academic and administrative units Confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive employee data Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
