Residential Program Manager, Transitional Treatment Programs – Southeastern Connecticut
Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Transitional Treatment Programs to plan and coordinate the safe, efficient operation of the client milieu across all Transitional Treatment Program locations — ensuring that every site upholds the highest standards of care, safety, and recovery-oriented practice.

As Manager of Transitional Treatment Programs, you will provide operational and people-centered leadership across multiple residential program locations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support staff development, drive quality improvement, and serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary leadership team — all while keeping client safety and recovery outcomes at the center of everything you do.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and mandates of regulatory agencies are complied with by Recovery Technicians and related staff Ensure compliance with all state and local health, safety, and fire codes, including life safety codes; ensure timely completion of all related incident reporting Conduct and ensure regular location-wide rounding to identify irregularities and areas of risk Attend all Safety Committee meetings and ensure Recovery Technician representation and attendance Ensure that shift staffing levels follow all applicable regulations and policies Plan and organize in-service training for program staff as necessary Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a key management team member across program locations Network proactively with other department leadership to optimize interdisciplinary coordination and ensure the best possible treatment outcomes Coordinate and prepare accurate weekly and monthly reports, submitting them as required Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance the client experience, tracking performance and implementations with concrete data and policy-informed processes Develop and implement operational strategies to improve program efficiency and effectiveness Supervise and train staff to complete tasks in accordance with SCADD standards Review the department budget regularly and monitor and respond to any lines that are over or under budget Serve as backup to provide direct care services as necessary Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge essential to the performance of duties What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 4 years of prior experience managing residential treatment milieu settings; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Valid and unrestricted Driver's License with the ability to drive an agency vehicle Certification or licensure in substance abuse is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment Why SCADD?
