The Analyst will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and assist in the development of financial strategies for fund management. They work closely with fund managers, investment professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of fund banking activities. Key responsibilities may include financial modeling, risk analysis, performance monitoring, and compliance management. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of financial markets are essential for this role. The position is also expected to perform certain tasks for the Venture Banking team, which works closely with Fund Banking.</p>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Gather, organize, analyze, and monitor borrower data to determine performance and produce various reports for management.</li>\n <li>Assist in analyzing prospective credit decisions, which will include understanding a Borrowers past performance, assets, or investors.</li>\n <li>Assist with various client requests related to their loans or deposit accounts while liaising with other organization members as needed, including frequent processing of loan advance requests.</li>\n <li>Perform ad-hoc requests and reports for Fund Banking or Venture Banking team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic understanding of the venture capital / private equity ecosystem and how private investment funds are structured.</li>\n <li>Strong skills and experience in analyzing investment funds and their underlying objectives.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of key financial principles.</li>\n <li>Ability to work on a small entrepreneurial team and passion for improving processes and solving problems without highly structured guidance.</li>\n <li>Strong ability to produce high-quality work products independently and as part of a collegial team.</li>\n <li>Comfort in working directly with senior executives and investment firms.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture with the desire to figure out how to solve problems and execute.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education & Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field required.</li>\n <li>Minimum Required: 1+ years of full-time work experience, preferably in commercial banking, finance, accounting, investment banking, or alternative investments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Systems & Technology</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft 365.</li>\n <li>Strong MS Excel skills with the preferred ability to use many different functions (pivot tables, macros, lookup/index match, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Stifel</h2>\n<p>Stifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
