As trusted delivery partners, we will continue providing proactive and reactive <em>clean water solutions</em> across their network, supporting them through the AMP8 regulatory period – the most significant investment phase the water industry has ever seen.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Repair and Maintenance Supervisor</span> to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across the Midlands area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, working on critical infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities.</p>\n<p>This role is suited to someone with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">proven clean water industry experience</span> who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory or leadership position.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></span></p>\n<p>The Repair and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing remote operational teams across a geographical area, driving performance through effective leadership and technical expertise.</p>\n<p>A strong background in clean water operations is essential, ensuring you can confidently guide teams, uphold standards, and deliver high-quality outcomes.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive operational performance through leadership and coaching</li>\n<li>Ensure teams are productive, skilled, and safety-focused</li>\n<li>Promote health, safety, and wellbeing at all times</li>\n<li>Deliver excellent customer service, aiming for same-day resolutions</li>\n<li>Support continuous improvement across operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Each day brings a fresh challenge, but safe working, quality delivery, and customer focus are at the heart of everything you will do.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Shrewsbury / Shropshire</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours: </span>47.5 - Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00 - Saturday and Sunday once every 7 weeks<br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Daily Activities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issue daily work packages</li>\n<li>Monitor site safety and compliance</li>\n<li>Review and approve risk assessments and method statements</li>\n<li>Carry out CAT downloads</li>\n<li>Conduct safety, compliance, and quality audits</li>\n<li>Deliver toolbox talks</li>\n<li>Manage materials, plant, and reinstatement resources</li>\n<li>Work with scheduling teams to deliver programmes effectively</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operational Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee defect programmes and KPI performance</li>\n<li>Attend Highway meetings</li>\n<li>Liaise with Support Services and Streetworks teams to manage FPN and Section 74 liabilities</li>\n<li>Conduct team inspections with a strong focus on quality and first-time reinstatement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health, Safety, Quality &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure full HSEQ compliance across all activities</li>\n<li>Lead risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations</li>\n<li>Promote a strong safety-first culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Customer Experience &amp; Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimise disruption to customers and communities</li>\n<li>Support effective communication with customer liaison teams</li>\n<li>Ensure teams are aware of and responsive to customer needs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Proven experience within the clean water industry is essential</span></li>\n<li>Strong technical knowledge of clean water networks, operations, and standards</li>\n<li>Experience working in operational or field-based environments<br></li>\n<li>A proactive approach to problem-solving and performance improvement</li>\n<li>Demonstrable leadership potential or previous supervisory experience (highly preferable)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clean water professional looking to step up into a supervisory role.</em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Get in Return</span></span></p>\n<p>By joining Sapphire Utility Solutions, part of the Lanes Group – the UK’s largest independent provider – you’ll be part of a business that prioritises employee wellbeing, development, and safety.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>24 days holiday + bank holidays</li>\n<li>Company vehicle</li>\n<li>Pension</li>\n<li>Death in service</li>\n<li>Employee Assistance Programme</li>\n<li>Free on-site parking</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is open to internal and external candidates.
