The Division of Health Sciences at Columbia College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Speech-Language Pathology position beginning August 2026.
Columbia College is a liberal arts college that is committed to creating a learning community that values diversity and inclusion. We seek candidates who will be innovative in teaching, leadership, and research while building collaborative relationships in the college and profession.
The School of Health Sciences includes undergraduate majors in both the Allied Health Sciences as well as in the Natural Sciences. Exercise Science, Speech-Language Pathology, and Public Health are the current majors offered in Allied Health while Chemistry and Biology are majors that are currently offered through Natural Sciences. Faculty within the division are committed to collaborative undergraduate research and have been successful in obtaining outside funding to support these efforts. The College and Division are committed to social justice and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of underserved and marginalized populations. The academic programs housed in this Division rely on the convergence of scientific education, clinical application, and a strong liberal arts foundation.
This position is an online, adjunct appointment. The courses to be taught include SLP 310: Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Technology (3 semester hours), and SLP 315: Augmentative/Alternative Communication for Educators (2 semester hours). The candidate must demonstrate the ability to design and deliver asynchronous, online courses with ongoing student engagement.

Candidates must have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be certified through ASHA (CCC-SLP). Experience with augmentative/alternative communication is required.
