Building Supervisors deliver excellent service to all members, guests and program participants. The primary responsibility is to provide overall supervision of the YMCA facility.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>1. Builds relationships with members, prospective members, program participants, volunteers, and staff to gain and retain memberships.</p><p>2. Conducts interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective and current members and may sell memberships.</p><p>3. Responsible for all program areas when supervisors are not present.</p><p>4. Relates to the public in a positive manner, addressing member concerns and interacting with participants as well as informing supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.</p><p>5. May be responsible for opening/closing the facility, as well as monitoring procedures and policies during the assigned shift.</p><p>6. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services and staff.</p><p>7. Assists with Welcome Center supervision as needed.</p><p>8. Actively participates in department and branch staff meetings and/or related trainings.</p><p>9. At least 18 years of age</p><p>2. At least 1 year customer service, sales or related experience</p><p>3. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills</p><p>4. Basic knowledge of computers</p><p>5. Ability to work independently with attention to detail required</p><p>6. Demonstrated leadership, dependability &amp; flexibility in work hours</p><p>7. Complete before first shift: YMCA cause &amp; culture training; membership-specific computer training; all required abuse prevention training.&nbsp;</p><p>8. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check.</p><p id=\"isPasted\">9. Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training.&nbsp;</p><p>10.
