We are currently seeking a Hazmat Specialist to join our team of professionals in support of the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) Warehouse Support Services (WSS) Program.</p><p>Essential Duties &amp; Job Functions:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform hazardous material receiving duties, including receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Review shipping documentation, packing slips, and accompanying records against received containers.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Report overages, shortages, damaged shipments, or discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Open containers and remove dunnage and packing materials.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Segregate material by type, including HAZMAT, consumables, equipment, narcotics, pilferable items, and other specialized stock.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Generate labels and route material to staging areas or stow locations using DMLSS or other military databases of record.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform storage and stowage of hazardous material in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Government stow plans.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\"><span data-contrast=\"none\" lang=\"EN-US\" class=\"TextRun SCXW97657921 BCX0\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW97657921 BCX0\">Support HAZWASTE determinations, disposal documentation, and turn-in processing.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform hazardous material transaction record reviews and documentation updates.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Research quality assurance messages, recalls, alerts, and affected product notices utilizing DMLSS or other military databases of record.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Coordinate affected products, recalls, and alerts with impacted work centers and Government personnel.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Support pick, pack, preserve, and crate (PPP&amp;C) operations involving hazardous material.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform administrative duties, including data entry, document maintenance, spreadsheet updates, and email correspondence.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Support turn-in of unserviceable hazardous material and verify quantities and documentation prior to disposal.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Operate material handling equipment as required.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Perform related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)</p><p>Experience</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hazardous material management, including receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and operation of various types of material handling equipment.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Knowledge of hazmat terminology, inventory control, storage, issue, and disposal processes.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Experience with hazwaste determination, profiling, and processing requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Experience supporting quality assurance, message research, product recall coordination.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Experience utilizing DMLSS or similar military inventory systems preferred.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Knowledge of hazardous material shipping requirements, including dangerous goods declarations.</li></ul><p>Additional Requirements</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">A valid driver&rsquo;s license to drive stand-up and 4&ndash;6K forklifts.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Certified OSHA HAZWOPER standard (29 CFR 1910.120)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Ability to lift, move, and stage hazardous material as required.</li></ul><p>Clearance</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must be a United States Citizen</li><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must be able to pass a background investigation (minimumT-1/NACI)</li></ul><p>*As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. </p></div></div>\n",
