Join our Digital Hardware Design team as an Engineer Associate Staff, Digital Systems and be at the forefront of innovation in digital and wireless audio products. </strong> As an Engineer Associate Staff, Digital Systems, you will be responsible for assisting with designing, developing, and implementing advanced digital systems for our wireless audio products. You will participate in collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring the delivery of innovative and high-quality audio solutions that exceed customer expectations. \n<strong>This role is on-site and based in our Niles, IL location. </strong>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs and developments digital systems for audio products, including audio processing platforms, audio networking protocols, control interfaces, and user interfaces.</li>\n <li><p>Conduct thorough testing and validation of digital systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements, and resolving any performance or compatibility issues.</p></li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.</li>\n <li>Document design specifications, system architectures, test procedures, and application notes, providing comprehensive technical documentation to support product development and customer support activities.</li>\n <li>Architect and optimize digital systems to meet high-performance requirements, ensuring low-latency, high-resolution audio, and seamless integration with other subsystems.</li>\n <li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital audio technology, networking protocols, and user interface design, contributing to research and development efforts to enhance existing products and drive future innovation.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in digital systems engineering, with a focus on wireless systems, audio or similar domains.</li>\n <li>Strong expertise in digital system design, including system architecture, signal processing, networking protocols, and user interface design.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of Linux, real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded systems, and hardware/software co-design principles.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, VHDL or Verilog, and experience with FPGA and/or ASIC design methodologies.</li>\n <li>In-depth understanding of digital audio processing, audio networking protocols (e.g., Dante, AVB), and audio transport interfaces (e.g., AES3, I2S, TDM).</li>\n <li>Experience with control interfaces (e.g., USB, Ethernet, PCIe, UART, SPI, JTAG) and protocols (e.g., UDP/IP).</li>\n <li>In-Depth Experience with the PCBA design process including experience with schematic CAD software, PCB layout, and SPICE simulation software.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and collaboration skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $127,000 to $203,200 with a midpoint target.  This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions.
