We’re increasing our team to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD) program. The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services—including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We have openings for a Senior Network Installation Specialist that performs highly detailed technical tasks and leads Network Installation Technician field teams in the performance of site activities. This role requires a deep understanding of various IT infrastructure components.</p>\n<p>#compmod</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Planning and completion of complex and detailed technical projects from survey and engineering to site implementation</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop and maintain high standards of installation and service, and assist with leading, training, and counseling network installation technicians toward high performance</p></li>\n <li><p>Serve as a technical knowledge resource to project managers and field technicians</p></li>\n <li><p>Work directly with project managers as the first line of communication for the field installation teams supporting the PM’s project(s)</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain accountability for the task-oriented work efforts of project assigned personnel</p></li>\n <li><p>Help ensure engineering schedules are met or exceeded</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive IT implementation designs</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TRAINING AND IMPLEMENTATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead the implementation and deployment of IT systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards</p></li>\n <li><p>Responsible for physical onsite network surveys to determine the engineering solution for each project assigned</p></li>\n <li><p>Responsible for providing client-site network installations support of hardware, including installation of entire service delivery nodes, as prescribed by Site Engineering Solution (SES) documentation</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare and provide complex site reports, documents, diagrams and VISIO drawings as required to meet customer deliverable requirements. Train and certify others to develop the same proficiency</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide input to the field technicians group to assist with the formation of procedural documentation for field tasks - BER testing, platform configurations, deliverables, procedures, etc.</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs configuration of installed technology, which may include cryptographic, MPLS, optical and timing equipment and supporting systems </p></li>\n <li><p>Performs troubleshooting and fault-isolation to bring installed equipment to functional state. Coordinates with network engineers to facilitate installation testing and acceptance</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ENGINEERING AND FIELD ASSISTANCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>In coordination with Engineering, provide project design support where needed and requested to meet customer objectives</p></li>\n <li><p>Assesses, designs, builds, and documents current site network configuration and user requirements at each site. Interprets SES according to real world conditions encountered at client site and modifies solution/design accordingly</p></li>\n <li><p>Directs and leads preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, and other platform specifications</p></li>\n <li><p>Documents as-built configuration through redlined SES documentation and produces Completion Reports (CR). Provides oversight and guidance of client-site installation support services</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain high standards of installation services, and help instill this in assigned field techs</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide onsite and remote technical direction in support of system's deployment, configuration, commissioning, and testing</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide onsite directions and assistance during installations</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensures assigned field techs remain current on all required training and certifications.ion to completion</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Experience/Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of relevant experience as Implementation Engineer</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Experience/Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>10 years of experience in IT implementation and engineering using Army/DISA/DoW standards</li>\n <li>Proficient in system design, configuration, and troubleshooting across multiple platforms</li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security measures, and IT best practices</li>\n <li>Experience with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and enterprise-level applications</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Visio</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Special Requirements/Security Clearance</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret preferred</li>\n <li>Must be able to travel 90% of the time on deployments for both CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs; ability to work in confined spaces (server closets, raised floors)</li>\n</ul>",
