As an SBA-certified HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), we deliver quality, professional services to support the missions and strategic business goals of our clients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Title:</span> NextJS Developer</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: </span></p>\n<p>University of Maryland Global Campus</p>\n<p>3501 University Blvd. East</p>\n<p>Adelphi, MD 20783</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Period of Performance: </span></p>\n<p>1 year</p>\n<p>40 hours per week (no overtime). </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span> The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NextJS Developer</span> is responsible for designing, developing, documenting and maintaining software solutions that are managed by the UMGC Student Portal team. This front-end developer position includes the use of web framework technologies to deliver an innovative and optimal user experience in an agile environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop high-quality software solutions based on requirements.</li>\n<li>Work in several web technologies, including Next.js, React, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the Portal team to estimate, plan, and deliver user stories, bug fixes and tasks within the sprint.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement solutions.</li>\n<li>Follow best practices to guarantee adherence to WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.</li>\n<li>Perform code, environment, and design reviews to ensure that quality work is being completed.</li>\n<li>Contribute to and lead delivery and deployment processes.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with testers to ensure proper test coverage and resolve any defects; oversee the development and coordination of test plans and execution with QA resources, where appropriate.</li>\n<li>Manage deployment CI/CD.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot, escalate and respond to incidents, problems, and emergencies with the appropriate level of urgency and professionalism and respond or delegate as needed.</li>\n<li>Participate in daily scrum stand-ups and Agile ceremonies</li>\n<li>Present to the team solutions to improve the current code base or platform.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</span>:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred in software development, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience and technical certificates.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to analyze technical problems and propose solutions</li>\n<li>Possesses expertise in the development, testing, and operational support of web applications.</li>\n<li>Experience working in an agile development environment.</li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience using the following technologies: Next.js, React, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JSON, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, and related technologies.</li>\n<li>Proficient with Visual Studio Code</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience in these areas a plus</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development in support of customer portals and mobile experiences</li>\n<li>Work in higher education</li>\n<li>Experience with Peoplesoft, MuleSoft</li>\n<li>Experience with GitHub Copilot, AWS Code Whisperer</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Join Our Team:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CMT Services</span>, we believe that extraordinary results come from empowering exceptional people.
