    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the Superintendent of Transportation, Division Manager, or designee, the Dispatcher and Supervisor performs road supervisor and/or dispatcher duties. Supervision encompasses all field operations including:&nbsp;</p><ol><li>Investigating accidents and passenger incidents and assisting with vehicle breakdowns.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitoring the performance of Bus Operators to ensure that fixed route service is provided and that Bus Operators perform in accordance with Pace standards.</li><li>Performing field supervision of Pace fixed route service, special events, and other activities; and performing security checks at transit centers and park-n-rides.&nbsp;</li></ol><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">Dispatch functions include:&nbsp;</p><ol><li>IBS supervision and coordination of bus routes and Bus Operators.</li><li>Maintaining work assignment board on a daily basis.</li><li>Operating and monitoring radio and IBS; responding to calls.</li><li>Coordinating detours and notifying proper authorities in emergencies, breakdowns, or upon Bus Operator's request.</li><li>Operating a bus when required.&nbsp;</li><li><span>&nbsp;</span>Generating and maintaining dispatch paperwork.</li><li>Answering telephone calls and responding to inquiries.&nbsp;</li><li>Performing other duties as assigned or required.</li></ol><p>The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night, any day and night of the week. This is a safety sensitive position and subject to random drug and alcohol testing.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Age:</strong></p><p>21+</p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><p>Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>Must have at least 3 years' experience in transportation with a good work record, including attendance history; supervisory experience is preferred.</p><p><strong>Certifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Must have or be able to obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a valid Class \"B\" Commercial Driver's License with air brake and passenger endorsements, and have, or obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a DOT card.</p><p><strong>Proficiencies:</strong></p><p>Must have knowledge of the service area, particularly routes that originate from this facility.&nbsp;</p><p>Must demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.</p><p>Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills: good written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>Must be able to maintain professional composure when confronted with difficult situations; and make quick and accurate decisions.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><p>This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><p>This position is based on an office setting, with standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and desk space.&nbsp;</p><p>The business needs of Pace may require operating a bus in all weather conditions and being exposed to inclement weather.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work.</strong></p><p><strong>Salary:</strong></p><p><strong>Full Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$50,467-106,032</p><p><strong>Midpoint:</strong>&nbsp;$78,250</p><p><strong>Starting Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$64,358-78,250</p><p><strong>Pace provides full pay ranges so candidates can consider their growth potential.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><a href=\"https://www.pacebus.com/sites/default/files/2025-07/2025%20Pace%20Benefit%20Summary%20Non-Bargained%20For.pdf\">BENEFITS SUMMARY</a>&nbsp;</p>",
