Come join our team of experienced, dedicated, and committed professionals whose focus is to solve the mission-critical problems of our customers.</p><p>Brown Technologies is currently seeking an Engineering Technician III who is a self-starter supporting customers at NASA&#39;s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD.</p><p><strong>DESCRIPTION:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Brown Technologies is supporting a government customer at GSFC and seeking an Engineering Technician III with hands-on experience in IT and audiovisual conference room equipment installation, maintenance, and support. The selected candidate will perform technical assignments supporting network and AV infrastructure operations in a high-visibility environment serving VIP customers. This is a temporary position through 12/31/2026 with an immediate start date.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Install, cable, support, and maintain IT equipment and audiovisual conference room equipment for both legacy and new installations</li><li>Evaluate and recommend necessary product maintenance activities and upgrades</li><li>Perform technical analyses of conference room software, hardware, and transmission equipment using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient operations</li><li>Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission</li><li>Demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism, and end-user support to a large VIP customer base</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance inspections and ongoing patching of conference room equipment</li><li>Support root cause analysis activities for conference room incidents</li><li>Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems related to network failure/integrity and usage of PC hardware and software, including conference room displays, controllers, Crestron devices, AMX, Cisco, and other conferencing devices</li><li>Resolve work orders for Network, VOIP, and conference room equipment</li><li>Resolve incidents according to service level agreements for IT and AV equipment</li><li>Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and solve problems using experience, judgment, and precedents</li><li>Work within established guidelines and policies with a moderate level of guidance and direction</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Utilize existing knowledge while building additional knowledge of the company, client, and processes</li><li>Communicate effectively across all levels, from Level 1 technicians to VIP customer stakeholders</li><li>Maintain strong verbal and written communication throughout all interactions</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p>Required:</p><ul><li>U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance</li><li>AA or AS degree with 4 years of related experience OR High School diploma with 6 years of related experience</li><li>Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to resolve situations in a professional manner</li><li>Detail oriented with strong organizational skills</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Licensed driver qualified to operate GSA-owned vehicles, including 12&quot; box trucks</li><li>Must be on-site at GSFC during business hours</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Experience with 70-volt indoor/outdoor Public Address (PA) systems</li><li>Experience with Crestron, AMX, Cisco, or similar conferencing devices</li><li>Experience supporting IT and AV equipment in a government or VIP environment</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits of working at Brown Technologies Incorporated</strong></p><p>We offer significant advancement and personal career development opportunities within our dynamic high-tech company.
