    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position:</span><br>Part-time School Nurse (4 hours per day)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to:</span><br>Risk &amp; Safety Coordinator</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The Part-time School Nurse provides primary medical support to students, including administering first aid, managing medications for allergies or other conditions, and liaising with parents and faculty. The role requires maintaining accurate medical records, advising on health-related matters, implementing health policies, and participating in emergency planning and response. Additionally, the School Nurse partners with teachers to deliver age-appropriate health, hygiene, and wellness education directly to students within the classroom environment. This is a year-round position which supports daily school operations as well as the summer programs and boarding students, as needed.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">1. Medical Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide first line support to students with medical needs, including administration of first aid and administration of medication where approved (e.g. by the student’s family), and liaison with local medical providers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communicate with professionalism and confidentiality to parents, staff, and students.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage special cases where individuals have allergies and/or requirements for specific medication.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Deliver first aid, CPR, and other relevant training to employees at least annually, or on an as-needed basis, including when students participate in field trips.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Transport students to clinics, hospitals, and other medical facilities and provide translation as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">2. Compliance &amp; Documentation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate records of all visits to the health office, student medical needs (dietary, allergy, medication, etc.), and emergency plans for students with specific or chronic conditions, and share information as appropriate in accordance with the school’s privacy policy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Implement and maintain policies and procedures for provision of school health services, including prevention, surveillance, and outbreak management of communicable diseases.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in the school’s crisis management and emergency response planning activities as requested, including communication with local emergency services in the event of an emergency.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure the health office environment is hygienic, welcoming, and adequately stocked with medical and other supplies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">3. Preventative Health</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with school occupational physician (産業医 sangyou-i) where applicable on matters pertaining to workplace health and safety.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Advise the leadership team and other school administrators on matters pertaining to health and well-being, including the interpretation of health mandates issued by local authorities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Organize medical screening for students and employees on a periodic basis, as requested by the Head of School or either of the Divisional Principals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with teachers and deliver age-appropriate lessons on hygiene, physical health, and wellness for students.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">4.
