    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to provide support a major national laboratory located in Albuquerque, NM or Livermore, CA.  As a Linux Systems Administrator you will be using your experience in providing patching and security compliance, administering Linux server, while supporting a team in designing and maintaining complex systems.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Do you like to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support a team that designs, implements, maintains and supports enterprise class, highly available, scalable and secure information systems and applications.</li>\n <li>Under minimal direction, responsible for troubleshooting centralized and distributed physical and virtual Linux servers, by applying technical and operational knowledge to configure, operate and maintain information processing, telecommunication systems and analyzing performance statistics to support tuning, automation and optimization activities.</li>\n <li>Provides administration to Linux servers, which includes patching and security compliance requirements, as well as troubleshooting customer issues.</li>\n <li>Participates in customer projects to provide technical expertise in the area of system upgrades, proves improvements, adherence to security requirements and infrastructure improvements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What is needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>US Citizenship</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance throughout the life of the contract.</li>\n <li>Candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Linux Server management and troubleshooting (system setup, account management, file services, network configuration, license management, application hosting and end-user application support).</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are also required.</li>\n <li>In lieu of degree, relevant experience is applicable</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>We would really love if you have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous Classified support experience, STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guidance) compliance, VMware, Splunk, scripting and interfacing with vendors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>It has been and continues to be the policy of Edgewater Federal Solutions to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, and/or other status protected by applicable law.</p>\n<p>#LI-KM1</p>",
