BrainHub was created by experienced AV professionals who grew up backstage, and our technicians sit shoulder to shoulder with our client’s day in and day out. Together, we develop tailored technology solutions that give our clients peace of mind to focus on their audience and bring their big ideas to life.
The Technical Manager, Lighting and LED is responsible for recruiting, developing, mentoring, and leading the full-time technical staff. They will also recruit, qualify, and maintain relationships with the freelance community.
A typical day may include, but is not limited to:
Manage and develop full-time technical staff. Coordinate strategic training opportunities for our full-time and freelance technicians. Work with Technical Directors and manufacturers to provide targeted training. Recruit and qualify new full-time and freelance technicians. Create, implement and follow-up on full-time technician growth development plans through-out their careers. Travel to show site to build relationships and evaluate performance of technical team Manage hours, PTO requests and general management of full-time technicians. Consult with Technician Resource Center on qualifying existing and new labor. Support Technician Resource Center with staffing of ETP events and assist when needed with rate negotiations. Work with technical staff to resolve on-site challenges as able and coordinate with Technical Directors as needed. To be a successful Technical Manager, Lighting and LED, you should have the following:
