    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Village Leader is responsible for the supervision of cabin counselors and their campers within a specific village. The VL works closely with the Parent Liaison, Mental Health Professional and Nurse to assist campers with provide a positive camp experience. The Village Leader is a safety sensitive position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the general safety and direct supervision staff in unit as well as their campers.</li>\n <li>Check in with staff and provide constructive feedback.</li>\n <li>Create and implement evening activities and special events.</li>\n <li>Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available.</li>\n <li>Oversee daily inspection for unit.</li>\n <li>Submit written performance evaluation of staff twice a summer.</li>\n <li>Assist with Trading Post.</li>\n <li>Assist with tractor rides.</li>\n <li>Assist with overnights.</li>\n <li>Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to; camper check-in and check-out; attendance; mealtimes; activities; and before/after-hours duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Attend and participate in Administration Staff Training and All Staff Training.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 20 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>Ability to supervise and lead a group of campers.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage 5-8 staff members. </li>\n <li>Possess leadership skills that can assist in encouraging and motivating campers. </li>\n <li>Must be able to work independently and not need to be micromanaged.  </li>\n <li>Ability to teach songs, crafts, games, stories, sports, and related skills is preferred. </li>\n <li>Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>YMCA Membership</li>\n <li>Discounted Programs</li>\n <li>12% Employer Retirement Contribution</li>\n <li>Paid Sick Time</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Salary Range</h2>USD $420.00 - USD $560.00 /Wk.",
