    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship (SEND Pathway) at Marshfields School</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and are eager to develop their skills within a specialist educational setting.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">**This role is to start in September 2026**</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Apprenticeship Overview:</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary: </span>£8 an hour, <em>Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds</em></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Week: </span>Monday 8.30am - 4.30pm. Tuesday -Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (30 minutes lunch break)</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:</span> 32.5 hours per week</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duration: </span>18 months</li>\n<li>Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification</li>\n<li>Online training supported by our dedicated tutor</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Eastern Close, Peterborough, PE1 4PP</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you’ll do at work</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the senior leadership team to plan and deliver activities for individual or small groups of students, delivering activities inside or outside the classroom.</li>\n<li>To support classroom teachers in raising standards of literacy and numeracy.</li>\n<li>To support students to take responsibility for their own learning.<br>Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence.</li>\n<li>Support pupils with routines and transitions</li>\n<li>Adapt communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs.</li>\n<li>Support with intimate care and hoisting with discretion and help students to develop independence.</li>\n<li>Promote high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy</li>\n<li>To assist the teacher with the preparation of the classroom and appropriate resources.</li>\n<li>To participate in training and other learning activities as required.</li>\n<li>To supervise students on planned trips, visits and out of school activities as required.</li>\n<li>To contribute to the overall ethos of the school to ensure an environment which is calm, purposeful, and happy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>GCSE English (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) desirable</li>\n<li>GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) desirable</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication skills</li>\n<li>Attention to detail</li>\n<li>Organisation skills</li>\n<li>Customer care skills</li>\n<li>Problem solving skills</li>\n<li>Logical</li>\n<li>Team working</li>\n<li>Creative</li>\n<li>Initiative</li>\n<li>Non judgemental</li>\n<li>Patience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other requirements</span></p>\n<p>Pre-employment checks.
